Up the hill in the shadow of the radar tower we moved to Building 1534. This used fiberglass prefab was ugly but seemed luxurious with steam heat, and abundant toilets and showers. To everything there is an end. Detachment 18's end came around 1994, a victim of a scaled back Air Weather Service. Officially gone, however remnants of the unit continue in Korea to serve the same aviation support mission to this day…
